College Marketing |
“Platform One was the stepping stone I needed to help further my do-it-yourself career. They work completely for the artist and give everything they can to make sure that the artist is happy with all that they offer.
” - Kate Myers
Through our 100 college reps on campuses around the country, Platform
One:
- Approaches and informs our 40 "First Responder" college radio stations
about our artists and supplies them with music all in an effort to obtain
airplay, feedback, reviews, phoners and interviews. Many of our campus reps
are also active members of their respective college radio stations.
- Sends artist promotional materials to our reps to distribute around campus
to predetermined lifestyle outlets (popular restaurants, clothing stores,
record stores, head shops, campus "hangouts," bars, etc.). We will work
with each rep to figure out the best places to distribute these materials
and see if there could be possibilities of doing something more (i.e.
in-store performances) with some of these outlets.
- Contacts university programming/advisory boards to tie into on-campus
events. Many of our reps are also involved in Greek life on their campus
which we also tap into.
- Contacts and informs our 40 "First Responder" college newspapers about our
artists and provides them with music all in an effort to obtain mentions,
reviews, interviews and features.
- Contacts the school webmaster, campus bookstore, student union,
fraternities and sororities to obtain mentions and features in their
respective media, publications and websites.
- Creates a sampler for bands involved in the college marketing campaign and
distributes them through strategic outlets on and around college campuses.
