What Do You Do: I help run the Music Marketing Department. This means that I work with our artists to come up with and implement the best possible marketing strategy to help them connect with both the industry they work in and the fans who will soon love them. I also get Brian coffee when he is thirsty and make to sure to laugh at all his jokes.
 

Experience: Anyone who has met me would tell you I've loved music since I discovered it. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago
with a bachelors degree in (takes a deep breath) Arts, Entertainment & Media Management with a concentration in Music Business and a focus in Marketing & Promotion. I have spent time working with in the Marketing Department at Victory Records and Sleepless Entertainment here in Chicago, as well as traveled down to Tampa, FL to work with the wonderful Fueled By Ramen family (gang) in their merchandise marketing department. I then found Platform One, and immediately jumped on board. The experience that I have gained both through my formal education and from working throughout the industry have allowed me the knowledge and the networking necessary to help kick start anyones rock and roll heart (and career).

Jade Ingardona

Hometown: Rockford, IL

What Do You Do: Everything and anything digital. I help build and design websites, do graphic design and create and implement digital marketing campaigns--among a lot of other things. Basically, I am the resident nerd of Platform One.

Experience: I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor's in the Arts, Entertainment and Media Management department with a focus on Music Management and Marketing. I also have a background in the arts and have studied graphic design and animation. Besides that, music has been my passion since as far back as I can remember. I was heavily involved in my local music scene growing up (that is, until Rockford decided to shut down every all ages music venue-- R.I.P. The Pit), and I've never stopped helping bands and being a part of what makes the music community amazing. I use these same skills to blow up brands the same way I would an artist--it's the rock and roll approach.

Matt Phillip

Hometown: Hinsdale (Chicago), IL

What I Do: I am Jade's partner in crime in the digital world, though not nearly as nerdy. If you operate a blog, internet radio station, internet podcast best believe you will be hearing from me. My goal is generate as much buzz as possible about the bands we represent by working with our clients and all those blog writers and radio DJ's out there. I do step outside of the virtual world (if coaxed properly) and help out with our brand marketing projects as well.

Experience: I went to school in the far away land of Iowa, the University of Iowa to be specific. I emerged four years later with a degree in Communication Studies and Marketing. That degree pushed me into the advertising world where I was an assistant buyer and seller of advertising space across the country. The experience there pushed me to find opportunities in the music field, which let me to Platform One and all of these lovely folks. In addition, I happen to be one of those lucky people for whom music is not just a hobby, it's a burning passion, and I am totally amped to be able to be involved with it on a daily basis. I was inundated with music of all kinds ever since I was a little kid which has given me a great appreciation for all forms of music, sans country (sorry.....not really).

Luke Tanen

Hometown: Redding, CT

What Do You Do: Where brands and entertainment intersect, that's where you'll find me. Working with small companies seeking to take their product or service to the next level and larger multi-national corporations aiming to penetrate that hard-to-reach 18-34 demo, I oversee the creation and execution of major brand-building and sales-driven marketing campaigns. I also passionately spearhead Platform One's "Dare to Dream" benefit events. By partnering today's biggest performers with important not-for-profit organizations, I manage the production of these high-profile events that create tremendous positive impact for the artists and charities while maximizing ROI for event sponsors and media partners. And when I'm not navigating the worlds of brands, entertainment and cause-marketing, I'm finding and developing our youngest talent through the Platform One internship program.

Experience: I come to Platform One with many years of experience in the marketing and advertising world. I started my journey at TDA Advertising where I helped implement many successful direct marketing campaigns for notable blue-chip clients (Pepsico, MasterCard, Citibank). I then entered the world of sponsorship and event marketing by joining the ranks at IMG in New York City. After many years on the east coast, I headed to Chicago where I obtained degrees in Business and Communication Studies at Northwestern University. I then joined the team at Relay Worldwide to further pursue sponsorship and entertainment marketing, before firmly planting my roots at Platform One Entertainment.

Gina Lee

Hometown: Orange County, CA

What Do You Do:I double dip. On one hand, I recruit, manage, and rock out with our Campus Reps and P1 Street Team to ensure that we successfully penetrate the markets we intend to reach. On the other hand, I work meticulously with the Branding & Strategic Marketing team to plan and implement numerous marketing campaigns for our esteemed clients. I deliver zazz, if you will.

Experience: Orange County, CA is my hometown but I relocated to Chicago in 2004 to attend Northwestern University. After countless shows, festivals, eye-opening adventures, encounters with amazing people, and numerous internships in the music industry, I situated myself at Platform One Entertainment in early 2008. Now equipped with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Business Institutions, I am able to coalesce my education with prior hands-on experiences in order to build an arsenal of versatile skills and capabilities. It is my belief that everyday bears a new lesson to be learned and a fresh challenge to surmount.
